STRS Professor Presented for PBI Dr. Christopher Begg gave an address at the 2009 International Meeting Celebrating the Centenary of the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. His talk, “The Blessing of Isaac according to Josephus and Jubilees,” was part of a session on the Greco-Roman World which took place on July 3rd, and examined three roles adopted by the former priest Josephus: historian, exegete, and arbitrator of cultural identity.

CUA Professor Speaking at Notre Dame Msgr Paul McPartlan, Carl J. Peter Professor of Systematic Theology and Ecumenism, is took part in a conference on 'Paul as Liturgical Theologian' at Notre Dame University's Center for Liturgy, 15-17 June. He gave a plenary address entitled: 'One Body: Ecclesial and Sacramental'.

STRS Faculty Members Participate in Ecumenical Meeting Three members of the STRS faculty, Fr John Galvin, Fr Joseph Komonchak and Msgr Paul McPartlan, took part in a meeting of the North American Orthodox-Catholic Theological Consultation at St Vladimir's Orthodox Seminary, Crestwood, New York, from 1-3 June 2009.
